The Bad Witch Blog First Birthday

It is thoroughly a day for the reason that I summit started message A Bad Witch's Blog.

On 7 November 2007, I wrote:

"I private, I'm not a good witch. I don't mean I'm a infamous witch. I don't curse fly or bake up their internal organs in a cauldron. I mean I'm a easygoing witch - a technopagan who likes things to be easy. I'd more readily find stuff promptly on the internet than squander hours reading old books. So, time for a new beginning. A Bad Witch's Blog is my try to state some friends to pagan sites and to put together my musings on pagan-related actions and life in general. I strength even intercept for my part and review a few books."Competently, I've especially done that offer thing. In the past day I produce read somewhat a few books and on paper about them on my blog - something I conceive to be on your feet law in the neighboring day.

As well as such as my blog's summit birthday, it is hush the jazz up of Samhain, so a good time for a conservative. About are a few things I produce on paper about in the day gone that I call are price looking at again:

On 27 November, I posted a typeset of a fox that I had seen sleeping in my garden. Varnished the day, this vixen returned heap grow old, prepared a den and in the okay gave biological to a fasten of cubs. I hush see the fox abode from time to time. Well communicate drive be spread cubs to light wind about neighboring day.

At midwinter, 21 December, I posted a guided meditation on the element of Set down, relating a bother cloak-and-dagger to assignation the Peer of the realm of Set down. I followed this up with three enhance meditations on the elements of air, fire and water at assume grow old haughty the fly of the day.

On 28 December, I wrote: "The days between Yule and the New Time are normally good for making predictions about the planned," and I optional a way of recycling hand-me-down compliments cards here a deck of prediction cards. I hush produce my own deck prepared this way and produce supplementary to it with birthday cards and postcards. This unusual concept is something I am emphatically remote of!

In January, I inspired my website from www.badwitchblog.blogspot.com/ to www.badwitch.co.uk/ because I required to produce a UK side name and one that was easier to become familiar with - whilst you can hush make a way into the blog from each one addresses.

On 14 February, Valentine's Day, I gave in to my inner Goth and shunned the glowing tat in the shops to pay a visit to the serious of William Blake in London's Bunhill Fields graveyard. It is a still place and well price visiting. Every single one time I produce been communicate I produce seen flowers left at the resting place of England's topmost foreshadowing lyricist.

By 12 Expound, okay was freeway on the way and whilst the weather was hush icy, a bush of lovely camellias was in mark in the environs of someplace I lodge and an one-time oriental lady reminded me of their spiritual grade.

On 21 April, I walked sad bluebell reforest on a trustworthy okay sunrise. These flowers are hardly in mark for a few shorts weeks, but as soon as they are, the world seems that inconsequential bit spread magical.

In May, I went on holiday to the Coral reef of Islay, in Scotland, to include a sale of malt whisky and music and likewise to pay a visit to some vast ancient sites together with Cultoon Marble Circle. I would sufficiently suggestion each one the land mass and the sale to everybody eager.

On 20 June, I wrote about poles apart stone circle - one in London. High Fields Marble Circle, is in Brockley, South London. It was built by muggy artists for the Millennium and every day has a midsummer fair.

July is a exact month for summer days in the get and I visited Alfriston, in East Sussex, someplace I bare some exact shops for pagans, together with the Bats Limb Apothecary, Significantly Ado Books and The Sparkler Pool.

In Regal my kitchen was invaded by slugs and I tried distinctive ways to carry on them out, together with spells and charms. It seems to produce worked.

On 9 September, I asked for any help in reasoning out the origin of the curiously named Witches Continue, in Riverhead, Kent. I had a few replies and bare that it gained that name in the 1930s, having before been called Filthy Continue. At rest, the casing it was feature that abnormal first name is hush a mystery. Do email me or look into a footnote if you know what spread about it.

In to the lead October, with Halloween hardly a few weeks to another place, I tackled the dark and austere Cthulhu Mythos, looking at ways fly are using the mythos for very magical works and rituals. Threatening stuff...

So, what drive I be message about in the day ahead? I especially conceive to be on your feet to icon at myths and legends about the wildlife, plants and flowers that I see. I'll be skeleton spells, rituals, magical lore and mythology. I believe to pay a visit to spread pagan sites. And I request I'll be reading some spread books.

If communicate is what you would be on a par with to see enclosed on A Bad Witches Blog, or if you produce any questions you crave answered, look into a footnote under or email me at badwitch1234@gmail.com
