George Kavassilas is an author and speaker. He has had hundreds of interactions with both benevolent and malevolent beings from many different levels of realities, both on and off world. In 2003, he took a journey with his conscious spirit through the dimensions of our universe and he was able to remember who we all are, where we come from and where we are headed, sharing this knowledge with the world in order to assist humanity in reclaiming our sovereignty. In the first hour, he talks about the model of our universe, the cosmic matrix and what he calls the "great arena." Then, we'll discuss energetic programs that feed into false realities. In hour two, George elaborates on higher beings that desire to be worshipped and have designed clever programs, including the chakra system, kundalini energy and more for manipulation. He'll speak more in detail about spiritual deception. He also talks about the makeup of our true planetary being and talks about how the moon is used as a mechanical device. George explains how we can calibrate ourselves with the planetary being. We end on his comments of a pending global mind control event.http://redicecreations.com/radio/2012/11/RIR-121104.php

Know Them By Their Deeds Christian Parents Beat Son To Death
Take out all folks drawback offs of America's Funniest Videos? One was called Litter Say the Darndest Substance and featured, as you'd wish, entertaining clips of kids. Litter do say the "darndest belongings," and ceiling of us laughter in it to the same degree it reveals their integrity and reminds us what it is analogy to view the world along the eyes of a child. Glumly, not all parents find what their children say to be delightful or cute. This is the exciting parable of a Georgia pair who killed their 8 year-old once the child claimed to be a "participant of the devil."

Ahead you whisk that these were plainly off your rocker parents and that their send had nonexistence to do with religion, donate are some facts of which you basic be discerning. Foremost, the set off claims that he regularly gap his son "to the same degree the child stamped death pressure on the masonry and claimed to be a participant of the devil.'" Sparkle, the parents told order that their son died once an internet-linked prayer bring with their church. Third, enterprise actually raided the parents' church in this prosecution to the same degree of its shoulder for objective subtle.

Offer is a fine line involving secretarial accept and mental objection, and it seems markedly blurry in this prosecution. Our culture is quick to stick by secretarial beliefs but less so to stick by the produce of slaughter fanatical in the name of religion. This is a good thing, although, I cannot repulse commenting how momentous it is that even bags analogy this rarely lead to any nosy weigh up of what populace are taught at their churches and in their bibles.

Magick Personal Protection Routine

Magick Personal Protection Routine
As I'm sure I've mentioned before, I teach protection magick at the Grey School. One of the things that I get questions about is what sorts of protection routines my students should practice. The answer is: it depends.

I believe that anyone who practices magick needs some kind of personal protective routine. People who practice magick tend to attract more metaphysical attention than non-magick users. Using magick lights up your aura like a lighthouse in the fog - that light pierces the astral and draws the curiosity of the things that live there (friendly and unfriendly). This increased attention makes a magick user a lot more likely to be plagued by unfriendly entities than non-magick users. People that practice magick also tend to be more sensitive to ambient energy and the energies given off by other people. Practicing magick teaches helps to develop people's energetic senses. On the plus side, being more sensitive to energy makes working with it easier, on the negative it makes unpleasant energy feel a lot worse than it did when the senses were less sharp. These increased sensitivities can make dealing with negative energy (most often from other people) quite difficult. A regular cleansing and protective routine can make dealing with these things much easier.

Here is the routine I recommend:

Monthly (or at least once every three months): A full house cleansing and wardingWeekly: A cleansing ritual bath (can be done more often)Daily: A protective spell in the morning and another at nightAs needed: smudging

I recommend doing a fully house cleansing and warding, like the strong house cleansing ritual in my book, roughly once a month. This will clear out stagnant or negative energies in your surroundings and help keep you from getting bogged down in old energy or the negative energies of your neighbours and keep your protections fresh and strong.

A ritual bath is far and away my favourite way to do personal cleansing. It can be as elaborate as a full bath with steeped herbs, essential oils, and salts, or as simple as taking a moment during your morning shower to envision negative energy and attachments flowing away from you with the water and going down the drain.

I have a very quick and simple blessing that I say every morning to protect and guide me through my day. I feel a little lost if I don't say it (yes, I know that's totally OCD but it works for me). I also have a fairly extensive nightly protection ritual that I've talked about before. If such ceremony feels like too much, something as simple as pausing for a moment before you head out for the day and envisioning yourself protected by the energy of your own aura would be better than nothing - the mindfulness of protection is the real goal.

And last but not least, I smudge whenever I feel that my energy is a bit gunky. I personally like the heavy, earthy feeling of white sage or dragon's blood, but any smouldering herb or incense can be used as long as it feels cleansing and healthy to you.

A Tibetan Buddhist Nun Blazes A Trail For Other Women To Follow

A Tibetan Buddhist Nun Blazes A Trail For Other Women To Follow
NEWPORT, Wash. (RNS) At a conference for Western Buddhist teachers some years ago, the Venerable Thubten Chodron and other monastics complained to the Dalai Lama about the difficulties they faced: lack of finances, education, a place to live.

At one point the leader of Tibetan Buddhism began to weep. Finally he told the teachers: "Don't rely on us to do things for you; go out and do things to help yourself. If you run into problems come and tell me."

Those words changed the course of Chodron's life.

The notion of starting a Tibetan Buddhist monastic community in the West was already in the back of her mind. All she needed was permission.

Chodron's quest took her from Seattle to Missouri to Idaho, and ultimately to 240 acres of forested land just outside Newport, Washington, a quiet town of just 2,100 people.

Here, she formed Sravasti Abbey, one of the only US monasteries where women-and soon men-can devote themselves to Tibetan Buddhism and become fully ordained. Since its founding in 2003, the abbey has served as a training ground for ten ordained women (known as bhikshunis) and a community for hundreds of visiting lay monastics and practitioners.

Chodron said she was inspired to start the monastery because in the Tibetan tradition, there wasn't a place for monastics in the West to prepare for and receive proper monastic training. "There are dharma centers," she said, "but they are designed for lay practitioners, even though some monastics may live there."

In other words, for Buddhism to flourish in the West, there needed to be a stable sangha, or community of monks and nuns.

Chodron and the Dalai Lama named the abbey Sravasti after a place in India where the Buddha would go on retreats.

Historically, full ordination has not been available to women in the Tibetan tradition.

A quorum of senior monastics is required to confer full ordination, said Sallie King, professor of philosophy and religion at James Madison University. Because Buddhism is still relatively new in the West, women wanting full ordination must receive the blessing of monastics from one of the faith's other traditions or lineages.

"The Dalai Lama has been personally sympathetic, but formal support of female full ordination does not exist," King said.

Sravasti Abbey is hoping to change that and aspires to offer full ordination for men in addition to women.

Chodron has blazed a trail, said Jeff Wilson, associate professor of religious studies and East Asian studies at Renison University College in Waterloo, Ontario.

Located about 40 miles outside of Spokane, Washington, the abbey rests in lush meadows above rural farmland. The monastics here begin their days with meditation, break away to lead programs or tend to the property and return together for dharma discussions.

Last year, the abbey consecrated Chenrezig Hall, a 2 million lodge that houses the dining facilities as well as libraries, workrooms, meeting rooms, chapel, and guest quarters.

Most of the nuns are from the US and converted to Buddhism as adults.

Venerable Thubten Chonyi is one such nun. She has been a student of Chodron's for nearly 20 years and received her ordination in 2013.

"I feel a very strong responsibility for establishing something that will be here, hopefully, for hundreds of years after us," she said. "We're creating a space for the people behind us."

Born Cherry Green, Chodron was raised a secular Jew and became a Buddhist nun 37 years ago after earning an undergraduate degree at UCLA and working for a while as a public schoolteacher in Los Angeles.

She attended a meditation course in 1975 and later traveled to the Kopan Monastery in Nepal to continue her studies. She never looked back. She was ordained in Taiwan in 1986.

A petite woman with maroon robes, a shaved head and a quiet voice, she soft-pedals the role she's had in establishing the lineage and keeps words to a minimum.

Being a raging feminist doesn't work in the Tibetan community, she said. Being respectful and confident does.

Her students say she is forging a way forward for women.

"She does it as gently as possible and skillfully as possible, yet still gets its done," said Tracy Morgan, one of Chodron's students.

Before launching the monastery, Chodron made a name for herself by writing books. She has authored ten and edited another ten.

She is the only female monastic to pen a book with the Dalai Lama-"Buddhism: One Teacher, Many Traditions" (Wisdom Publications, 2014)-and is admired for writing texts about practical ways people can apply the Buddha's teachings to their daily lives.

Her teaching style is similar.

"She cuts right to the chase and is not afraid to call people out where they're stuck and call on them to do better," said Jim Dawson, one of her students.

At 64, Chodron would like to train more monastics at the abbey, continue writing books-including another with the Dalai Lama-and keep spreading the dharma, or Buddhist teachings and values.

But the abbey may be her most lasting legacy.

Wilson, the professor, said the monastery could have a huge impact, not only on the regional community but globally, because people coming for monastic training can learn an Americanized form of Tibetan Buddhism that they can take back to their own countries.

The Dalai Lama has yet to visit the monastery, though he did offer an endorsement prominently displayed on the abbey's website: "I am glad to know that the community seeks to provide both monks and nuns with not only equal opportunity, but also equal responsibility to study, practice, and teach the Dharma."

In 2013, during a visit to Australia, he even suggested that the next Dalai Lama could very well be a woman.

For Chodron, it is a sweet thought and an affirmation of a vision cast long ago.

Magickal Gardening

Otherwise known as

Gardening the Witchy Poo Way...

Over the years, I have collected some truly wonderful Magical Gardening Tips, from books, friends, and on-line. These that I share with you now, are a small smattering of that compilation. And, no...I do not follow all of these. I do what I can, what makes the most sense to me, and I don't sweat the small stuff too much!

I am a Mama, (living all by myself, just me and the kiddos); with a whole lot of different interests of which gardening is only one. So I am lucky, happy and grateful if I can keep my yard fairly decent, with lots of pretty flowers, some herbs, and whatever vegetables I get in the ground each year. And, I do try to accomplish more and more each year, according to what is going on in our lives at the time. I just try to do my best with no stress, no worries!

I am passing this to you, is in the hopes that if you may find something that you like. Take what you need, and leave the rest. Enjoy!

My Garden Story...

I had the loveliest day playing with my children in our yard today. The garden is bursting forth with bountiful life right now. I have bushes of glorious flowers, and my perennial herbs are doing magnificent...not that there are that many of them!

You see, I have been a bit of a lazy gardener so far this year. My garden is still full of Winter and Early Spring weeds, and my lawn is a mess. I haven't gotten any of my Summer Vegetables into the ground yet. (High on the list of To Do's) The only plants and herbs that are thriving are my trusty yearly friends. However, I can't complain; they are magnificent. I am also very easy to please. I see the beauty in the smallest things, and tend to block out the other. (Like the weeds and bushy grass! Ha!)

While I am not on my game this year, there have been years where I have done much better. Last year I had a modest crop of corn, three varieties of tomatoes, Mint, Lavender, Cilantro, Sage, Thyme, Basil and Oregano. I didn't get my melons in last year, but they are another favorite of mine. I'd also like to add some potatoes, garlic and onions this year, at least. I would also like to try my hand at some lettuces, kale and spinache, when it comes time for their season.

I also LOVE flowers. (I have worked in four different flower shops and one flower farm) so you could say that I have a passion for them.)a passion for them.) My favorites each year, all year, are my Red Cluster Geraniums. (No, that's not their real name!), Pink Jasmine, my Red and White Camellia Bushes, and my Red Bottle Brush Tree. Then I have Zinnias, Morning Glories, Sun Flowers, Marigolds, and a cast of others, that come and go seasonally, as I have seeds for them, or not.

Magical Gardening Tips...

*Magical Planting

Planting is guided by the Moon, as is much of a Witch's life. Herbs that contain their usefulness in seeds, leaves and flowers are planted during the Waxing Moon. Root crops should be planted when the Moon is on the Wane, during the third, or last quarter.

Some Witches, who follow the movement of the Moon through the Zodiac, will plant herbs only during the moist and fertile times. The best time to plant these are while the Moon is is the sign of Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus and Capricorn.

Trees, as they are perennials and must develop strong roots to remain alive, are planted during the Waning Moon; and the best time of all is after the last quarter, but before the New Moon.

Flowers, or those herbs specifically valued for their blossoms, such as Lavender, should be planted when the moon is in her increase, (the first quarter is preferred) and in the sign of Libra for delicious fragrance and beauty. If abundance is more the concern, then plant flowers when the Moon is in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces.

If you have followed the above procedures, the day of planting, should fall upon the day after the first quarter begins. This means that one week remains to finish the above ground planting.

Naturally, if you are planting by Moon Signs, you need to adjust accordingly, to correspond with the correct phase of the Moon and the desired sign.

With care time and magick, your garden will blossom into life.

Magical Pruning and Weeding...

There are specific rules set out for cutting and pruning your Magical Garden. All pruning should be carried out during the decrease of the Moon. Hedges, should always be trimmed from East to West, following the Sun. Prune trees in a clock-wise direction, as you go around them.

Mid-Summer Lore...

Almost every Witch knows at least one or two tidbits of Mid-Summer Gardening lore. It is considered the best time to harvest many Summer herbs, on either Mid-Summer's Eve or Morn. St, John's Wort being the most famous of these herbs. It is also told that washing one's face with the dew collected from the St. John's Wort Herb, in the Dawn of Mid-Summer Morn; will help to keep one's skin youthful and beautiful.

It is also said that if you cut Thistles after Mid-Summer, then your garden will sprout two for every one that you pull. This practice actually makes a lot of sense, because by Mid-Summer, the plant is at the peak of growth, and probably producing seeds. So it seems prudent to get rid of them earlier in the season.

Other Interesting Tid Bits...

This is one that I have read, but certainly do not practice, and I don't know anyone who does. It is said that

there are strict rules about sharing your Magical Herbs with a friend. You are never supposed to give someone half a plant. Therefore, if a friend asks for say, a sprig of Rosemary; you are supposed to change the subject and walk away. (Can you imagine?)

If the person truly wants it, they are supposed to steal a piece of it from your plant. Evidently that is supposed to keep the plant healthy. (However I doubt it would keep your friendship healthy!)

Once a month, after the herbs are full grown, on the night of the Full Moon if possible; walk out to the garden and draw a circle in the ground around the plant with your knife. Draw clockwise, and make sure that the ends of the circle meet. This helps to seal the power into the plant. It also created a sympathetic link, for later when you will be using the herb for Magical Purposes, within the Magick Circle.

Also, go out at night, when the plants are rejuvenating and basking in the Moon's light, and feed them energy and talk to them. Witches have known the value of this practice eons before modern man caught on! Doing this regularly creates an energetic bond between you and your plants.

One last note: to ensure that the destructive pest population is kept down, keep a large frog or toad in the garden. Give him a toadish name, and talk to him often. He is your Magical Garden Familiar, or Mascot if you will. Give him plenty of water, and maybe a mate; and he should stay and serve your garden well.

I have oodles and oodles of these great Magical Gardening Tips to share; but as for tonight, I am one tired Witchy Mama! I would love to hear from any of you, who may have some more of these kind of tips, or natural pest deterrents that you might share with me. :) Good night ~Danae

P.S.~ My handsome little garden helper today was my 5 y/o son, Jeremiah Donovan.

Youre Not Disqualifed

Youre Not Disqualifed
There was a time when I thought God couldn't possibly use me. Between my rough childhood, my shameful past, and my miserable marriage, I could not imagine a less likely candidate.

My heart urged me to believe God, and to run with passion the race I sensed Him calling me toward. But at the same time, vestiges from my past would flash in my mind, or I'd react wrong because I wasn't completely healed (are any of us?), or a relational conflict would hit me, and then doubt would reign supreme. The conflict tore at me. One day I'd feel confident of my calling, the next day, I felt utterly disqualified.

But I failed to factor in four important things:

1. GOD'S LOVE AND GRACE NEVER FAIL. God's love transforms us, and His grace qualifies and enables us to do what we could never do apart from Him. Even on days we get knocked down, God's love enables us and compels us to keep believing and His grace keeps us moving forward.

2. GOD'S GIFTS AND CALLINGS ARE IRREVOCABLE. God knew the hurts we would endure, the mistakes we would make. He knows our shortcomings. But His specific calling on our lives does not disintegrate the moment we fail, because His word assures us otherwise (see Romans 11:29). This does not give us license to sin, or excuse us from pursuing godly character. On the contrary, it should instill a desire to become more Christ-like.

3. HE USES OUR SCARS. Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works all things out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Our unique hurts enable us to share God's comfort, truth, and healing to others who have experienced the same wounds. God never wastes our pain.

4. IT'S A PROCESS. None of us are perfect. None of us have arrived. And we all mess up. But as we make the choice to continue moving forward in God's strength (see Ephesians 6:10)we develop godly character, spiritual muscle, and perseverance.

Years ago I read a powerful, inspiring book called Eric Liddell: Something Greater Than Gold, about a gifted young Scotsman who trained to run in the 1924 Olympics. In my favorite chapter, Eric is running his event and on the final lap another runner knocks him down. Assuming he is disqualified from the race, Eric lies on the ground on the sidelines, anguished at the loss of his shot at an Olympic gold medal.

When he finally dares to look up, Eric sees his coach frantically motioning for him to get up and get back into the race. Stunned, Eric realizes he is not disqualified after all. Jumping up, he determines to run his best race, in spite of the lost time. The audience roars as Eric begins passing the other runners, and to everyone's surprise, he wins the gold.

My sweet sisters, the enemy would love for us to believe that we are disqualified and our race is over. But getting knocked down does not disqualify us. If we will dare to look up, our Ultimate Coach--Jesus-- is fervently cheering us on. He sees our efforts, He's encouraging us to stay in the race, and He cannot wait for us to cross the finish line. So brush yourself off, trust Him to fill you with His strength, and run your race.

Not in your own strength, for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you-energizing and creating in you the power and desire-both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. (Philippians 2:13)

The WINNER of a free, signed copy of my book, Prayers For a Woman's Soul, is HILDA QUINTANILLA. Congratulations! Please email me your mailing address by May 28th.

I'd love to know about the race you are running-what you're currently pressing towards. Leave me a comment and I will pray for you this week!

The Sorcerer And The White Snake

I am fascinated by Asian storytelling. The background mythology is so different than western mythology that it forces me think about purpose and history. In this offering, Jet Li is a buddhist monk and master who travels around looking for demons to capture and imprison. At the same time, a local herbalist is saved from drowning by a 1000 year old White Snake demon and promptly falls in love. The tension in this film comes from the mentality of the demon, who does not see herself (or all demons for that matter) as evil. Is there such a think as a benevolent demon? Or only selfish demons? As we explore these questions, Jet Li gains enlightenment and we are reminded of the endless grace of god. So while presenting these potentially deep and interesting metaphysical questions, they are folded into a goofy (by western standards) slap-stick package. Strange, and enjoyable.3 STARS (OUT OF 5)

Fraternity

Fraternity
The topic of fraternity has recently come up, and it is such an important issue that it deserves some special attention.Fraternity is the cornerstone of all organisations, especially those which deal with the occult. It is one of the primary reasons any of us join an Order (or any community) in the first place. To be fraternal is to treat others as a Brother or Sister, and, while this means to do so in the spiritual sense, we need to examine the biological aspect to understand exactly how it works. A physical brother or sister may, for example, be annoying, insulting, or any other denigratory term one wishes to apply; however, they are still one's flesh and blood and a certain platonic love is extended (or should be) even at the worst of times, while the closeness that can occur between biological siblings is a testament to the fraternal bonds that can be formed in the best of times. So should it be for us spiritual siblings. Thus a basic civility and compassion is required, often more than we would extend to someone not within the Order, for we are bound by oath and mutual aims, and there is a common understanding between us all. This is not to say that we must always agree with one another or blindly obey whatever directions we are given, but rather that if we do have such disagreements that we would attempt to broach them in a way that encourages our fraternal bonds as opposed to straining or severing them. While ultimately the Golden Dawn is all about magic, it is important to recognise just how valued the aspect of fraternity is, and how, indeed, it acts as the foundation upon which we make our magic, since we work a system that is largely dependant on the coming together of magicians. The Oath taken in 0=0 is explicit about the fraternal relations required of initiates:"I undertake to maintain a kindly and benevolent relation with all the Fratres and Sorores of this Order."While it says "this Order" I believe this "kindly and benevolent relation" should be extended to all people working with the Golden Dawn system, and, dare I say it, to humanity as a whole. The Obligation of the 5=6 also reinforces the pledge of fraternity in the section dedicated to Hod:"I further promise... that I will always display brotherly love and forbearance towards the members of the whole Order, neither slandering nor evil-speaking, nor repeating nor tale-bearing, whereby strife and ill-feeling may be engendered."Then again in a letter dated 2nd April 1900 Mathers states that "the first duty of an Occultist... is Fraternity and Fidelity." One cannot get much more explicit than that. Thus fraternity is one of the basic tennets upon which the Golden Dawn was founded, and it should underscore all other elements of the Work. When we omit this we hack away at the foundations of the Order and of all good human interaction.

The Lost Books Of The Bible

The Lost Books Of The Bible
"THE CHURCH VIEW:" In the Catholic Church the version used is the Douay-Rheims Bible consisting of 73 books. In the Protestant church only the 66 books approved by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1885, which today is known as the Authorized King James Bible, are used. No other books, neither the Apocrypha, which was included in the original King James Bible, nor the 22 books mentioned or quoted in the King James Bible, are considered inspired.

"THE BIBLE VIEW:"

There was no specific list or accounting of all the books that made up the Bible until the commission of the first Bible by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century AD. The books that make up the Authorized King James Bible were chosen by men, not divine forces. The language of the King James Bible is obscure and limited.

AN INTRODUCTION Human history has allowed precious few ancient religious writings to survive the onslaught of the more aggressive and powerful religious forces, which seek only to gain territory and wealth. Genocide and cultural eradication always go hand in hand with missionary zeal. In many cases every trace of the conquered society's religious writings, practices, icons, and even buildings were destroyed, in the name of conversion from worship of gods considered evil, and religious customs labeled as heresies. What generally results from past crusades is the conqueror's religion replacing or predominantly blending with the conquered culture's former religious practice, making the its religion almost unrecognizable. Christianity falls into the latter category, having been the victim of the Roman Empire, under the Emperor Constantine, who blended the Christian Church with the institutionalized "pagan" practices of Rome and eliminated any semblance of either the Jewish religious influence or the first church Jesus established during his ministry. The First Reformation After solidifying his position to gain complete control of the western portion of the empire in 312, the Emperor Constantine instituted the Edict of Milan, a "Magna Carta of religious liberty," which eventually changed the Empire's religion and put Christianity on an equal footing with paganism. Almost overnight the position of the Christian Church was reversed from persecuted to legal and accepted. Constantine began to rely on the church for support, and it on him for protection. The Church and the Empire formed an alliance, which remains to this day. Very rapidly, the laws and policies of the Empire and the doctrine of the Church became one with Constantine as the interpreter of both law and policy. This was accomplished by eliminating hundreds of books thought to be against "Church" doctrine and watering down what remained by blending Christian beliefs and practice with long established Roman sanctioned pagan worship. Constantine believed that the Church and the State should be as close as possible. Constantine tolerated pagan practices, keeping pagan gods on coins and retaining his pagan high priest title "Pontifex Maximus" in order to maintain popularity with his former subjects. In 330 he began an assault on paganism but used a clever method of persuasion to force people to follow the laws by combining pagan worship with Christianity. He made December 25th, the birthday of the pagan Unconquered Sun god, the official holiday now celebrated as the birthday of Jesus. He also replaced the weekly day of worship by making rest on Saturday unlawful and forcing the new religion to honor the first, not the seventh day, as a day of rest. As a way of defining his concept of the new universal religion he simply classified everything "Jewish" to be an abomination. Considering almost every aspect of the Bible is "Jewish" by association, every doctrinal biblical principle was changed or eliminated. After 337 Constantine increased his purging of the more obvious aspects of paganism. Through a series of Universal Councils, he and his successors completely altered doctrine without regard to biblical edict, set up a church hierarchy of his own design, and established a set of beliefs and practices, which are the basis for all mainstream Bible-based churches. The separation of the Protestants and the Roman Church caused a physical split but the beliefs and practices established by Constantine remained almost identical. Very little has changed since the 4th century Councils changed the face of Christianity. An effective practice instituted was the purging of any book in the formerly accepted biblical works, over 80% of the total, that church leaders felt did not fit within their new concept of Christianity. The doctrines and practices remaining in the surviving books were effectively eradicated by simply changing them by replacing clear scripture with Church-sanctioned doctrine.Forbidden Not Lost Constantine began what was to become a centuries long effort to eliminate any book in the original Bible that was considered unacceptable to the new doctrine of the church. At that time, it is believed there were up to 600 books, which comprised the work we now know as the Bible. Through a series of decisions made by the early church leadership, all but 80 of those books, known as the King James Translation of 1611, were purged from the work, with a further reduction by the Protestant Reformation bringing the number to 66 in the "Authorized" King James Bible. What we now have in Bible-based religion, whether labeled as "Catholic", or Protesting Catholic, known as "Protestant", is unrecognizable form either the Hebrew religion, now known as the Jewish religion, or the church established at Jerusalem by the Apostles and disciples of Jesus. The practices of this first church are not practiced by any major religion and they are almost unknown, despite being clearly outlined in the existing New Testament. In its place are doctrines and practices first established in the first "true" Reformation of Christianity begun by Constantine. There is much controversy over how many books the Bible should actually contain but considering the depth and scope of those few works remaining in the "accepted" Bible, we see but a fragment of incredible wisdom and history. A study of the Lost Books of the Bible is incomplete without a clear understanding that this is not a matter of simple loss, but a campaign by the Roman Catholic Church to purge books variously classified as heretical, dangerous, and corruptive. To the public they are "lost"; to the Church they are "forbidden". Although the exact number of books purged is known only to the Church, and not shared knowledge, some can be determined by the discovery of their presence in the church prior to the reformation resulting in what became known as the Roman "Universal" Church. One of the more obvious forms of discovery comes from the surviving books themselves, which sight works not present in the existing collection. Also many do not know that the Apocryphal books were actually included in the King James translation until they were officially purged by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1885. Other writings also connect many books to the first church. Whatever the number before the purge by the formation of Catholicism by Constantine; even one lost book is a great loss indeed. We claim no expertise concerning the authenticity of any the lost books and leave this judgment to the reader. We do, however, strongly reject the self-proclaimed authority of any dogmatically motivated and church-controlled mortals who think themselves qualified to make such decisions. One of the most logical and realistic concepts in the Bible is the caution that one should prove all things. We believe that proving the veracity of a given thing is an individual responsibility, which must not, and should not be the duty of those who think themselves better judges. This section is divided into the following categories:The Apocryphal, Or Deuterocanonical Books

The 15 books, known as the Apocrypha, were not officially removed from the English printings of the

King James Bible until 1885 by the Archbishop of Canterbury, leaving only 66 books from the original 81.

The Real New TestamentThe books of the New Testament of the Bible were chosen by one man who was a servant of the Emperor Constantine and did that choosing to satisfy Constantine's agenda to completely reform early Christianity.

BOOKS MENTIONED BUT NOT FOUND Besides the Apocryphal books eliminated from the Bible used by Protestant Church

there are, at least, 28 other books mentioned in scripture, which do not appear in the Bible.

Books Removed From, Or Associated With, The Bible

Mistletoe Lore
According to the Celtic mythology of trees, Mistletoe is the tree of the day after the Winter Solstice (Aprox. December 23).

* LATIN NAME: "Viscum Album"
* CELTIC NAME: "It is said that Mistletoe is too sacred to have a written word".
* LATIN NAME :"Loranthaceae Phoradendron flavescens"
* FOLK OR COMMON NAMES: Mistletoe, Birdlime, All Heal, Golden Bough,
* PARTS USED: leaves, berries, twigs

HERBAL USAGE: **CAUTION: Mistletoe berries are extremely poisonous and have been known to cause miscarriage.** Mistletoe can be used as a stimulant to soothe muscles and to produce a rise in blood pressure. It increases the contraction of the uterus and intestine. Mistletoe has been recommended as an "oxytocic "in postpartum hemorrhage and "menorrhagia". It is also used as a circulatory and uterine stimulant. This plant can induce menstruation. It has shown effective in treating tumors in some animals. It is recommended that due to the toxicity of this plant that ingestion of this herb be avoided.

MAGICAL HISTORY AND ASSOCIATIONS: Mistletoe is one of the Druid's most sacred trees - as Ovid said, "Ad viscum Druidae cantare solebant". (The Druids are wont to sing to the Mistletoe.)." In Druidic lore Mistletoe is an herb of the Winter Solstice and is the special plant for the day after Yule. The Druids gathered their Mistletoe at Midsummer or at the 6th day of the moon. The Druid priests or priestesses would wear white robes while gathering the plant and would use a golden knife, taking extreme care not to let the plant touch the ground. Two oxen were often sacrificed for the harvest. The Druids considered that the Mistletoe that grew on Oak trees was the most potent and sacred.

Mistletoe is a plant of the sun and also of the planet of Jupiter. It is associated with the element of the air. The colors of Mistletoe are green, gold and white, and its herb is hyssop. The gemstones associated with Mistletoe are Black Quartz, Amber, Pearl and green Obsidian. Mistletoe has the immortal creature the Gryphon-Eagle associated with it and also the plain eagle is its bird association. There are many deities associated with Mistletoe: "Loki", "Blader", "Hercules", "Shu", "Osirus", and "Aeneas "are a few of those deities.

MAGICKAL USAGE: Romans, Celtics, and Germans believed that mistletoe is the key to the supernatural. Mistletoe will aid and strengthen all magickal works but is best called upon for healing, protection, and beautiful dreams - dreams which will unlock the secrets of immortality. Mistletoe is a good wood to use for making wands, other ritual tools and magickal rings.

The Berries are used in love incenses, plus a few berries can be added to the ritual cup at a handfasting. Boughs of Mistletoe can be hung for all purpose protection around the house. Sprigs of Mistletoe can be carried as an herb of protection - plus amulets and jewelry can be made out of Mistletoe wood as protective talismans.

Hung over the cradle, Mistletoe will protect the child from being stolen by the fey and Mistletoe that is carried will protect the bearer from werewolves. Mistletoe stood for sex and fertility - hence our tradition of kissing under the mistletoe. It is traditionally hung in the home at Yule, and those who walk under it exchange a kiss of peace.

Do We Hear What She Hears

Do We Hear What She Hears
Shore up month, I wrote about Christmas songs, noticeably the ones general public don't to a large extent later. My ensemble Thad dislikes Do You Problem To the same degree I Hear; and despite the fact that it's taking into account Christmas now I four-sided figure found this omnipotent testimony on the hymn by comedian Tim Hawkins:

Do You Problem To the same degree I Problem. Perhaps they show off kind memories of before a live audience it, or of hearing their children perform it at a for kids Christmas demonstration. Perhaps it's the assemblage of hymn that four-sided figure pleases them for reasons they can't unreservedly analyze. Music is, what time all, sometimes a very private thing.

The complete time I connect about sacred music, I grab hold of from some general public who channel this out. Who are we, goes some of the consideration, to interrupt our beliefs about sacred music on our fellow Catholics? To the same degree if Assemble Us In is, to them, a moving and fitting hymn for a processional hymn? To the same degree if they cry whenever they grab hold of On Eagle's Wings to the same degree the hymn was played at their grandmother's funeral? To the same degree if Let All Momentous Flesh Authenticate Muzzle or a chant spot of a prayer in Latin leaves them cold?

These touchy responses to songs or hymns are importantly private, and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. But the inconvenience, once upon a time it comes to sacred music, is that once upon a time sacred music is part of the liturgy it can't be supposed intensely at the level of private appeal; it can't be too to a large extent at the foible of the private tastes or touchy responses of the music snooty, choir, horde, or even pastor. Why? Seeing as the Close is not incoming. It is the first and best act of be partial to, and it requires a inevitable flatten of unity and correspondence in its music as in its ritual.

So noticeably of asking ourselves with sacred music as we do with everyday or modish music, "DO I LATER THIS?" we ought be asking whether the music fits with the Church's feeling of fitting be partial to. This is not everything we show off to hypothesis about; this is everything that the Priestly makes bizarre fine, by preferring chant, by differentiating amongst the sacred and the everyday or irreligious, and by her big history of sacred music from which we can section and in which we can find inspire.

So we link up in hymn at Close, are we listening to the Church? Do we grab hold of what she hears, in provisos of what should to be sung? Or do our private preferences, our likes and dislikes that can show off a million spanking explanations, get in the way?

This supremacy be a very good time to teach our children that we are in the world..but not OF the world. Dan, act of contrition me, I consideration that the incorporation of the Pope St Gregory quote, was to excite HOW we can Slot in this holiday of mundane (and junior in some luggage) witin our Christian culture and by so take effect evangelize. Utterly, we poverty not send our children out fit and treating in witch or devil fashion, but it would be endorsed to wear other appropriate costumes, together with Buz Lightyear. A Catholic school, which is afterall a teaching dwelling for the hopefulness, would sign the All Hallow's Eve aspect of the holiday with costumes of saints for the younger kids and parades and treats. Vertical a time for celebration. For the deep-rooted students almost certainly some treats but for sure the sort poverty be leader cerebralwith perhaps assignments on the lives of the saints, a check out sermon on the Communion of Saints, etc I consider the article is how to saturate the culture with Christian teachingnot to coherently neglect Halloween as you express to denote in the observations. Maybe I misunderstood your commentary spare. If so, I apologize. Illustrious, excessive discourse which I spur fore to my Catholic Academy marcher young woman who has 3 children of her own.

Hagia Sophia The Door Opens

Hagia Sophia The Door Opens
Hagia Sophia Museum in Istanbul, TurkeyI went to Istanbul because of a World-meeting Congress in the field of Pharmaceutics, where I had the possibility to present my research done at that time. One day after my presentation I had the possibility to visit the Hagia Sophia.Once upon a time a Byzantine Church, now a museum, the Hagia Sophia stands a top the first hill of Constantinople at the tip of the historic peninsula, surrounded by the waters of the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn on three sides. The entrance to the Hagia Sophia MuseumIt was in a beautiful location, but a bit of a hassle to find the way to the entrance, since there were a lot of reparations being done on the streets and our taxi driver was one of those, who would run you into circles, just for the extra miles. However, all aside, we finally entered the location. Instantly a feeling of peace surrounded me. Waiting in line in front of the walls of Hagia Sophia MuseumIt was apparent that this place was full of mysteries and that intrigued me. I wish I had payed more attention before entering the museum, because just around the corner there was a small wooden shop offering headphones that would assist you, just as a cicerone would, for just 10 euros. Oh, well... Secret Chambers in Hagia Sophia A very deep and dark tunnel like hole in the underground labyrinths of Hagia SophiaI could not see the end of this tunnel, surely filled with secrets I can only imagine... Underground Hagia SophiaHagia Sophia is the only building in the world designed as a great church, not to have extensive and well-explored underground areas, whether they be crypts, burial chambers or catacombs. This pics were taken before entering the museum. Burial remains in front of the Hagia Sophia Museum Careful not to fall, he he This is also the only building in the world that has altogether symbolism from Paganism, Christianity and Sunni Muslims. To be honest I felt that the restorations left a lot to desire... When visiting Hagia Sophia, the neglect due to the water damage and decay that exists in the building is apparent... View of the magnificent Hagia Sophia DomeMost of the Christian features were removed but many others were still there, together with some pagan symbols that we can often find in churches (see this colons are filled with pagan symbols). Christian and Muslim symbols overwrittenHere the underneath cross can easily be distinguished. Also in the pictures below the efforts for the metamorphosis of the church into a mosque are evident. Islamic Art in Hagia Sophia Under the Islamic Art the Christian Symbols can be clearly seen Hagia Sophia Marbles at Hagia SophiaActually it would undoubtedly be a very significant gesture from the Turkish government to return Hagia Sophia to its original Christendom today, but of course that can never be...As a Museum, this structure must remain a testimony to its past, Pagan, Christian and Muslim alike, standing to tell a story, in its structure and stones.Another thing that caught my eye were the massive caliphs on the Dome. They are pretty controversial because of their over-bearing size. Here is one of them. A view of the caliphs and the Hagia Sophia DomeOne reason for not removing the caliphs is said to be because of their size and that they would have to be destroyed in order to be removed. While a balance is attempting to be made between Christian and Muslim Art, the over-bearing designs of the caliphs strikes a person as soon as they walk into the main part of the structure. Is this a balance or just a statement of superiority? This is surely open to interpretation... Uncovered treasures in Hagia Sophia, awaiting to see the light.Even though I somehow feel grateful that this magnificent building wasn't destroyed, may be because of the religion and mysticism surrounding it, a careful eye would clearly see that there are so many uncovered jewels underneath the first facade... In the above image, is it me or can you too see a manlike form underneath the deterioration? Another issue is the alleged mosaic of Christ as Master of the World under the Islamic calligraphy on the Dome. It is unknown with any degree of certainty if this mosaic truly exists. If restoration efforts were undertaken to restore this mosaic, and the Islamic art, covering it was destroyed, what would happen if the mosaic was not there? Interior view of the Hagia Sophia dome and the angels surrounding it.But on the other hand in this image it is shown the interior view of the dome. Surely the Angels would not have been placed to surround an empty dome, would they?... Angels with covered faces in Hagia SophiaThe faces of these angels are mostly covered (in my knowledge in the Islamic Art it is forbidden to draw faces), but there is one of them, whose face was uncovered in 2010. A seraph most likely, since it has with 6 wings and that no one has set eyes on its face for more than 160 years...It is shown in the image below. The face of the seraph, finally sees the light after more than 160 years View of the mosaic from belowThe Archangel Gabriel was also there. It was like he showed his face from the nothingness near him, as to say, there is more in the unseen then in the known. But sometimes it is better to be in the mystery, in the unknown...I am sure you get what I mean... Archangel Gabriel mosaic at Hagia Sophia View of the Archangel Gabriel mosaic from another angleSome of the symbolism in Hagia Sophia was adopted from the Paganism, as I said in the beginning. For example, the iconography of Virgin Mary and Jesus come from the ancient Egyptian tradition. They are said to be the representation of Goddess Isis and Horus. The halo refers to the God Sun, known as Ra in ancient Egyptian mythology, as depicted in the picture below. Iconography of Virgin Mary and Jesus as the representation of Goddess Isis and HorusA representation of tridents and dolphins, indicating some form of worship to Neptune/Poseidon and a reference to Atlantis is shown on this panel. Pagan symbols in Hagia Sophia. Dolphins and tridents. On each column on the upper gallery there is a capital with monograms. In some of them it is represented the Ankh (the Egyptian key of life) and a Freemasonry symbol. Who put these symbols up there? It's still a mystery... Interesting isn't it? Next time you visit a historic place keep an eye for the Pagan symbols... Freemasonry symbols in the colons of Hagia Sophia Colons filled with monograms in Hagia SophiaAt last here is the circle, where the Emperors would be enthroned... I wanted to get in the middle of the circle, but it was strictly forbidden. Apparently if you are not an Emperor or a cleaner you can not get past security, he he... The circle, where the Emperors would be enthroned in Hagia SophiaThe experience in Hagia Sophia was an unforgettable one. It was a very cold place, where time flies by. I have stayed there for approximately 6 hours, without even noticing it. Below are some other pics worth sharing. If you are like me, you sure enjoy photos. Mosaics in Hagia Sophia Mosaics on one very high door in the magnificent Hagia Sophia Cat sleeping inside the Hagia Sophia MuseumAs you can see in this last pic there is a kitty cat sleeping comfortably. I called her twice, but she was quite lazy and responded by just wigging her tail as to say 'leave me in peace'.I would definitely advice you to visit Hagia Sophia, if the opportunity arises. The atmosphere there speaks louder then any words. It is a magnificent place worth seeing. After the visit I suggest a boat ride in the Marmaris sea...From the Hagia Sophia Museum it is just a 15-20 minutes walk, to get to the seaside. View from a 45 minutes boat travel in the Marmaris seaI hope you enjoyed this first post... Best wishes!
