The spokesman of Iran's Supreme Leader called on neighboring countries to mobilize their forces in preparation for the coming of the savior of Islam and to unite with the Islamic Republic in paving the way for his arrival, an Iranian news agency reported Sunday.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's spokesman, Ali Saeedi, said countries like Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan should gather together all their forces in order to make drastic changes to prepare for the coming of al-Mahdi al-Montazar, Arabic for "the awaited guided one."

"We still have a long way to go in order to achieve this. We have to train honest forces that can stop the obstacles that may hinder the coming of the Mahdi like the United States and Israel," Saeedi said in statement posted by the Iranian Labor News Agency (ILNA).

Saeedi also said that the supreme leader of Iran is the direct representative of the Mahdi and that obeying him is like obeying the "guided one," who is the prophesized savior of Islam.

Although no definite evidence of the exact date for a Bank Holiday or shutdown, where perhaps a new devalued currency would be put into place in the U.S. exists, there has been plenty of warning from some stellar Financial Newsletters like Harry Schultz' and Bob Chapman's International Forecaster that there is high likelihood that one might occur somewhere between 8/26/09 and the end of October 2009. The warning from Mr. Schultz indicates to watch for the FDIC 2nd Quarter Report to come out 8/25 and that because of the implications of the real condition of the Banks to be ready for possible closure of the Banks from 8/26 onward. These warnings in and of themselves by these two top prognosticators of financial and economic trends are dire, but they also have been followed by a great deal of ancillary information and evidence that has come to the Q-files from a myriad of Banking, Bank IT personnel, Intel sources, and even a Tennessee State website for their Financial Institutions Department. Thus, with a preponderance of corroboration of these sources of information, the weight must err on the side of sounding a Watchman's Warning to the people to prepare for such an event.

DRAFTS OF LETTERS LEAKED -EXECUTIVE ORDERS?

Last week 2 letters in draft format allegedly from a large Midwestern Bank with branches in several states were made available to the Q-files by an alleged Executive level employee of that Bank. Their contents, which were to be offered for correction and suggestions to be returned no later than 8/21/09, contained the statement that they had been prepared at the behest of the Federal Reserve and that an Executive Order (though # not stated) was specifically going to be cited in the finished product that would go to all Bank account holders and employees sometime after that 8/21/09 though no exact date was listed. The content of these two letters was :

1. All account access was to be limited by the Bank and that any withdrawls, checks, debit cards, or access of credit lines, and IRA's could total no more than 500.00 per one or a combination of accounts every 7 business days until these limitations were lifted by Federal Authorities.

2. All lock boxes were to be sealed and access to contents disallowed by regulations imposed by Executive Order, the IRS, FDIC, and the Federal Reserve Bank until further notice.

These type restrictions have been seen before during Bank Holidays of the 1930's where contents of lock boxes (particularly gold and cash) were in fact confiscated and also in more recent IMF/WORLD BANK imposed scenarios in South American countries such as Argentina and Brazil in the early 2000's, 90's, and 80's.

The implications for the American people here are ominous once again. When one looks at a potential limit on withdrawls of only 2000 per 28 business days.......and then calculates that many households budgets are much greater than that especially if the Mortgage Payment is included, it is no wonder that Northcom Troops, Foreign Troops, and Mercenaries are being quartered inside the U.S. and are practicing for Martial Law to quell massive civil uprisings.

Additional ancillary information received includes numerous reports from Bank or Financial Institution computer system personnel describing actual planned system shutdowns or work from home drills starting as early as 8/22/09 and with many citing dates in mid September 2009. One large West Coast Bank reportedly had informed a customer that a "major systems upgrade" would restrict all access to their accounts from 9/11/09 for a period of approximately 2 full days.

A European banking contact of an alleged CIA agent posted in Europe has informed a Q-files friend of the possibility of some sort of rolling regional Bank Holiday shutdowns in the U.S. to begin as early as late August 2009 through the month of September 2009.

The State of Tennessee Financial Institutions authorities have posted an August 9, 2009 memo on their website which describes their policies of Bank Closures and regulations with specific regard to the DHS declared MEDICAL STATE OF EMERGENCY and the Flu Pandemic.......it also hints at other possible STATES OF EMERGENCY that are contained in Executive Orders and Presidential Decision Directives (PDD'S) which could necessitate closure of Banks in that State. This brings up an excellent point of the high probability of the Flu Pandemic coinciding with or following or perhaps precipitating these Bank Holidays or Closures.

Currently, the WHO has declared a Level 6 Pandemic condition and already the U.S. is preparing for massive vaccinations of the populace and under the Medical Emergency Powers Act can in fact use Troops or Police to force vaccinations or send anyone refusing to a Quarantine Camp or Facility for an indefinite time period. Refusal of vaccine is being described as a crime now and already reports of Dr.s, Nurses, and other hospital and dental workers being fired or threatened with firing for refusal of the H1N1 or combination of Flu vaccines being given already around the country are coming into the Q-Files. Once again Northcom Troops are on record as going to be used in these mass vaccination programs and any resulting refusals will be handled by them and State, County, and Local Law Enforcement Officers operating under the new Interoperability Federal Command. The State of Massachusetts is currently in the process of Deputizing all Dr.s, Nurses, Dentists, and other Hospital an Clinic personnel for the purposes of these Mass vaccination programs.

So, in the climate where perhaps according to the State of Tennessee that 50% or more of Bank employees might be infected with what is expected by many Virologists to be a much more severe and even killer Flu where deaths % are likely to zoom to much higher rates than normal one can easily see that if the U.S. and world financial systems hadn't already necessitated a Bank Holiday due to collapse of the Dollar or insolvency problems, then this already declared Flu Pandemic will likely cause it all by itself.

The illuminati banksters might even declare that in order to stop the Killer Flu Pandemic that all paper currency and coinage must be surrendered so that it will not be a vector for spreading the virus and that immediately an Electronic Money System will be instituted to form the Cashless Society. Of course, a National ID/Proof of Shots Record card or permanent wrist band would be the basis of this system or if they are feeling really bold the actual use of RFID chips could be mandated by the Military and Medical Governors in conjunction with the Federal Reserve and the UN to be needed by anyone in the U.S. to transact any business, access Bank accounts, obtain medicine or food, or actually to be........THE MARK WHICH WILL BE REQUIRED TO BUY AND SELL. The Illuminati luciferian Global Masters by their own writings and speeches that have been cited in previous Hawk TALONS are planning to reduce the population of this planet down to 500 million......in order to gain the control of populaces to due this, I submit that a combination of Bank Holiday/Currency Devaluation and Deadly Killer Flu Pandemic with all the ramifications and the activation of the already declared Emergencies, Martial Law in America would potentially give them just those control mechanisms here. I Came I Saw I Ate Virtually Everything In Sight

I write this from one of my favourite places in the world; the little members' room at the Tate Britain.

Yes, I have made it back to my beloved London - faded with jetlag, but otherwise intact and already feeling better for exposure to the brisk cold air and pale sky.

Since I last updated, I have been through three continents - Australia, of course, and Asia and now Europe. The Boy Next Door met me at Heathrow and his loving ministrations have ensured that my return home has been both immediate and seam-free. It is the tag-end of Winter now, and while it's still dark in the morning and all too quickly in the afternoon, as well as very cold at night, it's fantastic weather for cooking, reading and snuggling up at home with cushions and blankets, recipes and spells.

I celebrated Lammas/Lughnasa in Australia - the correct seasonal ritual for the Southern Hemisphere (it was Imbolc/Oimelc/Candlemas up here) by making a corn doll out of rosemary and sitting it on my desk. Wherever (and whenever) you celebrate it, Lammas is a ritual for the end of summerand a celebration of the harvest; I used rosemary for the doll because a.) I find the smell invigorating and b.) it grows and grows in the garden at my mother's house - as small as that garden is - and was therefore in easy and plentiful supply. I learned today from the fabulous Element Encyclopaedia of 5000 Spells that rosemary is a herb traditionally sacred to women, and growing it in the kitchen garden ensures matriarchal control over the household attached. I must say that in the example of my mother and her rosemary bushes, this theory carries much, much weight.

A corn doll is just a construction of herb leaves and twigs fashioned into a humanoid shape - a loop in the twigs creates a head and legs, and a cross-bar of twigs makes arms. The idea of the doll is to display it to yourself at your place of work; at harvest-time, the doll-of-twigs is a reminder that the hard (agrarian) work of the year is rewarded with growth, harvest, prosperity. Also for Lammas, I dressed in green (is this a reminder of the summer's last green gasp on the trees before deciduous leaves turn for autumn?) and ate a big meal of rice. In this last case, I think the idea is to start feasting on carbs to fatten yourself up for winter, so you can live off carb-lard while the plants wither and dwindle with the cold.

I wonder, of course, if all this jetting across the world is healthy at all - and whether a lot more goes screwy with the human body than just the obvious problems with jetlag that occur with disturbances in sleeping patterns. I actually had Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD, ha ha ha) the first time I came to Britain, and while I was soon cured of horrible, black-and-listless depression with oily fish, abstinence from alcohol and compulsory daylight walks, seasonal adjustment confusions are an interest I may yet revisit. Hmm.

To London, now, and my programme of eating seasonally. Serendipitously, as I unpacked my London life from the boxes and bags stored in the Boy Next Door's apartment next door (I am not making this up), a forgotten, unread recipe book* (bought in a lb1 sale at the Borders liquidation) fell on the floor and broke open with a STUPENDOUSLY CONVENIENT guide to seasonal British eating.

From this handy little volume, I have learned that these are the foods that are suitable for year-round consumption:

* "FISH: brill, cod, cockles, crabs, dogfish, eels, halibut, herrings, lobster, periwinkles, plaice, rainbow trout, saithe, shrimp, sole, turbot and whelks. "

* "FRUIT: Bramley apples and avocado pears [and, if imported: bananas, grapes, grapefruit, lemons, melons, oranges, peaches, pears and pineapples]."

* "MEAT: Scotch beef."

* "POULTRY: capons, boiling/broiling chickens, ducks, ducklings, pigeons, rabbits, rooks and turkeys."

* "VEGETABLES: artichoke, beetroot, cabbages, carrots, cauliflowers, cucumbers, leeks, lettuces, mushrooms, mustard, cress, parsley, potatoes, spinach, turnips and watercress [and, if imported: globe artichokes, asparagus, aubergines, chicory, courgettes, French beans (and dried pulses), haricot beans, Spanish onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes]."

I learned also, from this wonderful book, what I should SPECIFICALLY be cooking in February alongside the above.

It told me:

* FISH: carp, catfish, chub, coalfish, cod's roe, grayling, gurnard, haddock, John Dory, lemon sole, ling, mackerel, megrim, mullet (grey), mussels, oysters, perch, pike, roker, salmon, scallops, skate, smelts, sprats, whitebait, whiting and witch.

* FRUIT: Cox's orange pippin apples, pears and rhubarb [and, if imported: apricots, peaches, plums, granadillas, grapes, grapefruit, lychees, mangoes, nectarines, ortaniques, prunes, Seville oranges, strawberries and uglis]

* POULTRY: Aylesbury duck, curlews, geese, goslings, hare, leverets, plover, quail, snipe, wild duck, wild geese, and woodcock,

* VEGETABLES: Jerusalem artichokes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, celeriac, celery, curly kale, seakale, mint, parsnips, radishes, spring onions, spring greens and Swedes [and, if imported: endives, fennel, new potatoes and salsify].

Wow. What a list. I don't know if I'm yet to eat saithe, capons, rooks (I take it these are not the chess-pieces, but are they actually crows?), chub, coalfish, grayling, gurnard, megrim, roker, smelts, witch (!), granadillas, ortaniques, uglis, curlew, leverets, plover, snipe, woodcock or salsify... but by the end of the month I'm going to give it a red-hot go (a visit to the Food Hall at Harrods may be in order - whoohoo!)

The Boy Next Door, who works hard and is often very tired, is more than happy, except when his pro-feminist sensibilities kick in, for me to play chef - and being an environmentally responsible person is supportive of my domestic seasonal-eating campaign. So for dinner (for two) I whipped up:

* Tasty haricot beans: Empty entire contents of 1 tin of haricot beans into saucepan. Add 1 whole piece of bacon. Cook on hob for 4-4.5 minutes. Season to taste. Serve.

* Brussel sprouts in cream sauce: Steam 500gs whole Brussels sprouts in a bamboo steamer. While sprouts steam, chop 1 Spanish onion and add to half a cup of sour cream and mix. Heat cream/onion in a saucepan on the hob until warmed through, season to taste and spoon over steamed Brussels sprouts on the plate.

* Hard boiled eggs: 1 egg per person. Cut into quarters, sprinkled with paprika.

* Brown bread was served on the side.

All of which was insanely easy, but ALSO - wonderfully - VERY cheap... because, obviously when these things are IN SEASON they are in plentiful supply, easily sourced and actually overflowing the shelves at the local supermarket.

All of this we washed down with:

* Moroccan mint tea: Put 4 stalks of mint into a teapot, with 1 tablespoon (or two teabags) of jasmine green tea. Pour 500mls boiling water into teapot. Steep for 10 mins. Stir 1 teaspoon of white sugar into teapot. Cool to taste. Pour into glasses garnished with fresh mint leaves to serve.

Those concerned about the red onion's potential to douse the smoochability of one's dining partner should take note that the Moroccan mint tea is marvellous on the breath.

I should point out that even if you had've asked me six months ago if I was chowing down on haricot beans and Brussels sprouts my response would have been a clear no. I hated them when I was a kid and I presumed into adulthood that I'd still hate them - but six months of crappy health and lack of energy has forcibly opened my mind. And guess what? My tastes have changed; I was actually bummed when the Boy Next Door helped himself to the last of the beans. I got the sprouts, but that's not the point.

So the immediate effect of seasonal eating?

* Kindness on my wallet
* Ease of getting the ingredients (Sainsbury's as a 1-stop shop)
* I woke up in a really good mood for the first time in ages.

Hmm... I think our pagan cousins may be onto something...

A Thanksgiving Prayer 2008

Today America observes Thanksgiving Day with Parades, Football, and Feasts that feature turkey. We also stop to give thanks for all that has been provided to us, even as we consider our neighbors in need. As we give thanks today, may we also remember the citizens of Mumbai (Bombay), India, who are dealing with a most horrendous set of extremist attacks.

The Mayan Calendar And The End Of The World

Over a century ago the English social critic G.K. Chesterton accurately predicted the end result of atheism. "When people stop believing in God," he said, "they don't believe in nothing-they believe in anything." Recent events are proving him more prescient than he would have imagined. People across the world are now awaiting the end of the world on December 21. Why? Because the ancient Mayan calendar predicted the looming apocalypse over 1500 years ago. In France-perhaps to distract the French from the real apocalypse unfolding in their national economy-a mountain in the Pyrenees is hiding an alien spaceship inside, waiting for the magic day to zoom back into space. Some claim a rogue planet is lurking behind the sun, patiently waiting for the moment when it can make its appearance and crash into Earth. Two men in China are building arks, convinced world-wide floods will occur on the day. New Age-ers from Culver City, California to Byron Bay, Australia are planning celebrations. What they plan to celebrate is unclear. A group called Birth2012 is coordinating an international spiritual rebirth for the world, believing December 21 to represent a new age in human history. Their goal is 100 million people united together. You can sign up-and presumably make a donation-at http://birth2012.com. And in Serbia, a sacred mountain known as Mt. Ranj supposedly conceals an alien structure inside. Noted Science Fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke claimed the peak projected an unusual energy and called it "the navel of the world." Hundreds of people apparently took Clarke at his word and are even now making their way there to await the end of the world. Mayan calendars calling for the end of time? Spaceships inside mountains? Arks in China? SERBIA? OK, so these examples are deliberately the craziest I could find. Still, beneath it all there's a foreboding in many people hearts-"What if there's something to it?" At least some of that feeling is the almost universal angst people are going through right now because of the state of the world economy and the conflict that's breaking out from the Middle East to the horn of Africa. Maybe the Mayan calendar has morphed with the free-floating anxiety to create this pseudo-pagan hodgepodge that's running through the internet like wildfire. A better explanation is what Chesterton observed. It should come as no surprise that as the Christian faith is more and more discounted by the secular public, the alternative isn't rationalism; instead it's this kind of terminal silliness in religious garb. Lost in all the hysteria is the fact that the Mayans didn't even predict the end of the world on December 21. The calendar they used simply ran out on that day, following a 5,125 year cycle called the Long Count. Their failure wasn't one of hope but of arithmetic. That all this occurs at Christmas is significant for two reasons. One, Christianity is so much more coherent and significant than any of these other pseudo-religions that it doesn't even bear comparing them. The secular world has given up the Christian faith for this? Talk about trading your inheritance for a bowl of porridge. The birth of Jesus promises to the world, not some escapist fantasy or even some dark apocalypse. What it promises is hope. This broken world as well as all of us broken people can live again. The second reason is more difficult. Unlike the Mayan calendar, Christmas really does signal the end of the world. Once Jesus came, the old world was not the same. In a very real way it ended with the baby in the manger. That old world was finished the moment Jesus was born in Bethlehem. His birth announced to the world-at least for those willing to listen-that God hasn't left us to our own devices and hasn't abandoned us to a grinding, hopeless determinism. Jesus came to set us free. His subsequent life, death and resurrection opened up possibilities of life that we would never have discovered on our own. In his book Atheist Delusions: The Christian Revolution and its Fashionable Enemies, David Hart says, "The new world we see being brought into being in the Gospels is one in which the whole grand cosmic architecture of prerogative, power, and eminence, has been shaken and even superseded by a new, positively 'anarchic' order: an order, that is, in which we see the glory of God revealed." Anyway, when the long-awaited December 21 rolls around, I plan to be celebrating the birth of Jesus, along with several hundred children, in a special Christmas program in a barn outside of town. Samhain Change And Renewal

When all of us in Terra Mysterium decided several months ago to coordinate a calendar rotation for our blog posts, I was already thinking about my October contribution. It seemed an important one; weighty and significant in that, for our community, Samhaintide is the pinnacle of our seasonal observances; it is our New Year - our annual death and rebirth, bursting with passionate culmination and potential. It also marks the time for me in a personal way, through a memory in which my own magickal practice continues to teach me the greatest lesson of my life.

So, I find this opportunity to blog a happy one; it is my chance to return to and remember with reverence a time, only three years ago, when I had a very real brush with mortal death. In September 2008, a quick, potent and devastatingly efficient pneumonia found its way into my lungs through a hole in my Spirit, and brought me to my knees in a stunning realization that my core magickal belief in the power of Connection and Transformation through Intention is indeed an indisputable one. I was reminded, brutally, of my responsibility of Bringing into Being.

By October of that year, during a month-long convalescence alone, I realized that my experiences gained through my illness were sublimely timed. As I slowly healed, I wrote a Samhain ritual for my then-temple members, and against the warnings of my dear friends that I was still physically weak, officiated at the event. It was important that I make manifest my experience in the hopes that by sharing it, I would help others to understand the sometimes frightening, yet wonderful potency of this time.

And as I write this today, I am grateful once again for that chance. I am blessed with a reminder each year at Samhain, which allows me to remember that in this lifetime, I must continually strive to understand the importance of staying on task - in accordance with a personal responsibility to manifest change and renewal.
