Psychic Divination Tools

There are many different aids or tools a psychic or clairvoyant may use. Anyone may use these tools to aid in his or her own divination for that matter! Examples include Tarot Cards, Runes, Crystal balls, scrying mirrors or other scrying objects, and pendulums.

Tarot cards are a commonly used aid. Each Tarot card has a divinatory meaning associated with it. In a Tarot reading, sometimes if the card is upside down, it weakens the meaning or even reverses it. It depends on the individual psychic giving the reading on how the card is interpreted. Usually, the Psychic has the person being read handle or shuffle the cards in some manner or does it for them. The cards are then placed into a particular spread and interpreted. There are numerous types of spreads and once again it depends on the individual psychic and his or her preference. Tarot cards have different pictures on them and there are many different kinds of artistic designs and decks one can choose from.

Runes were used by the ancient Nordic people as a magical language. Their uses ranged from writing messages and making charms or talismans to predicting the future and magical work. In Anglo-Saxon English and Old Norse, the word Rune meant secret, mystery and magical signs. Each rune contains its own meaning and has energies associated with it.

Crystal balls, mirrors and shiny stones are other "scrying" objects. The user will gaze upon the clear surface until a vision appears which can be understood directly or interpreted. Any reflective stone or object can really be used for this purpose. The concept is to still the mind and see what then comes to mind - So to speak.

Pendulums are another tool some may use.The pendulum is a tool that bridges the gap between the logical left brain and the intuitive right brain. By interpreting the movements of a swinging pendulum, you can tune into your intuition, find the answer to any question, and locate objects and energy centers in the earth.

Tarot Should You Use The Lovers Or 2 Cups When Reading On Relationships

One of the uses for Tarot cards is to throw a reading for Tarot divination purposes. Divination is a means of obtaining information by psychic or magical means not readily available to the body's five senses. The major purpose of divination is to discover the influences, energies and probability lines that are active in our lives. Having this information allows us to exert control in our lives. When looking at the future through divination means such as Tarot card readings, there are 2 factors you need to understand:

* The future is not set or pre-destined. It may be changed at any time before it happens.
* Divinations concerning the future are only probabilities based on assuming that current influences continue unchanged. Any change in the present will change the future.

So when doing a Tarot card reading, if you find an unwanted future event, you can research to find out what events lead to it and change those events. That will cause the unwanted event to either not happen or happen differently than what you found in your reading.

"SIGNIFIERS"

When doing a Tarot card reading, a signifier is used. This is a card or cards that represent the someone or something the reading is being done on and/or the question we want answered. Different traditions use signifiers in different ways and some people doing Tarot readings today do not use signifiers at all. We find that using a signifier and keying it to the person and specific issues and questions give a more exact reading. When doing a Tarot reading the signifier is very important to getting the exact information you want. Results will vary according to which signifier you use. Therefore it is important to make sure you use the right signifier for the information you are seeking.

"LOVERS VERSUS TWO OF CUPS"

Consider the meanings of the cards Lovers and Two of Cups. When doing a reading on relationships, many people think the Lovers card in the Major Arcana would be the natural choice and many Tarot books say this is the card to use. This is not accurate however if you are doing a reading on intimate personal relationships. The Lovers card is more for looking at higher spiritual relationships, karmic relationships, destined relationships or soul mates. This card indicates primarily a spiritual relationship that we planned when coming into this lifetime or strong spiritual ties and connections we have from other lifetimes. It could also be used as a signifier for relationship and balance to the overall higher aspect of community. It is a higher octave than the Two of Cups.

The Two of Cups is a better choice for intimate personal relationships. As a signifier it looks at emotional involvement of partnerships and is the love card. It also signifies reuniting, coming together and one on one intimate emotional sharing. This is the card to use in a Tarot reading as a signifier when looking for information on intimate emotional or passionate couple relationships of the mundane or worldly existence.

As you can see you would get different results according to which of these 2 signifiers you chose to use in your Tarot reading. As with all magical procedures, just think it through and pick a signifier that will give you the results to what you are seeking.

What are your favorite signifiers to use for certain subjects when doing a Tarot reading? We'd love for you to share yours in our magical communities either on Facebook or our blog. Share your favorite signifier and what situation you use it for and we'll send you a discount code to use on purchasing our Tarot Homestudy course.

Deck Review Twilight Realm A Tarot Of Faery

I can't promise you that I know why I did not finish the review of Twilight Realm: A Tarot of Faery by Beth Wilder, published by Schiffer Books, when I was using it, but it certainly does deserve a review and you can see these great cards in action on the blog by clicking here. The artist, who also wrote the accompanying book, feels that fae energies are real entities, and has created this deck to access these beings through the structure and magic of tarot. My feeling is that she was quite successful at this. These card fairly thrum with energy, and read quite easily. I feel that people who connect to faery would enjoy this deck, and with very little violence and no nudity, as well as the fantastical theme of the deck, most children and adults could use the deck. People who like the art style, which very much reminds me of black velvet paintings, should be easily to connect to the meanings of the cards, which while in the tradition of Waite Smith, have their own spin on the meanings. The Court Cards are possibly the least evocative in the deck, and people who need a lot of visual cues to read these cards may be somewhat disappointed with them. The deck is divided into 22 Major Arcana, that feature Strength as Trump VIII and Justice as Trump XI, and four suits of the Minor Arcana: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Rings replacing Pentacles. The Court Cards are Page, Prince or Princess according to the polarity of the suit, Queen, and King. The cards measure in at 3.5 inches by 5 inches, quite a handful, and on glossy stock that could prove trying to shuffle. The backs are fully reversible, and the author includes meanings for the upside down cards, should you choose to read that way. The deck comes in a rectangular box with a space to snugly hold the deck, and a book featuring the artists' take on the meanings, which is beautifully imagined, and some basic tarot instructions, with a magnetic closure to keep the whole enterprise secure. This has been a popular deck among tarot card enthusiasts, and you can check out some other reviews: Koneta Bailey's at New Paths Tarot, Janet Boyer's, Cheryl Lynne Bradley's at Tarot Canada, Bonnie Cehovet's at Aeclectic."These cards are from Twilight Realm: A Tarot of Faery by Beth Wilder, published by Schiffer Books. It In The Cards Where Beginners Start To Become Tarot Masters

Many, many people are attracted to the possibilities of self-awareness, divination and spirituality the Tarot cards offer. For those who have a strong interest but know nothing about Tarot, what do you do to get started? Most Tarot decks will come with some sort of guidebook or basic instructions but there's a big gap between those directions and becoming adept with Tarot cards. From teaching Tarot, I recommend all beginners follow these steps to start their journey with Tarot.

SHUFFLE, REORDER, REPEAT. When you begin to read Tarot cards for yourself, you'll have some cards that make multiple appearances - those are the cards that you'll learn in no time flat. But what about the remaining 70 odd cards? Take your deck, shuffle it up until it is thoroughly mixed, then get it back in order.

When reordering, separate the Major and Minor Arcana and order each section numerically. In the Minor Arcana, keep each suit separate for now. As you go through and divide the cards, pay close attention to the Tarot pictures and the order they fall in. Just like the Minor Arcana suits can give clues to the Tarot card meanings, their numeric value can do the same. When you've completed getting the entire Tarot deck in order, allow yourself to feel a sense of accomplishment. Then do it all again! This is a great way to become familiar with Tarot imagery.

PICK ANY TAROT SPREAD......as long as it's a short one. For now, while getting a feel for the general meanings of the Tarot cards, spend your time wisely and work with a simple Tarot layout. Anything that is three cards or less will work beautifully. The idea is, at this point, to keep your readings quick and easy, aiming for general understanding rather than in depth analysis. The more readings you are able to do, the greater the exposure to a variety of Tarot cards and their meanings. Don't worry about knowing every possible interpretation of a Tarot card right now. It's a time for discovery, not mastery!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! If you spend a little time with your Tarot cards each day, doing sample Tarot readings or just looking at the cards and trying to recall the meanings, you should be fairly comfortable within 6 weeks. It sounds boring saying that you need to practice - unfortunately, it's true. There may be the rare person that can work with Tarot cards and instantly give incredible readings but I haven't met them yet. Lack of practice is the most common reason for frustration with new Tarot readers.

Developing skill with Tarot cards doesn't have to involve hours of practice each day. In fact, short spurts of consistent practice will make you a better Tarot reader faster than if you have sporadic "cram" sessions. It takes a little time to see the flow between cards and learn how to interpret Tarot cards. If you put the time in, it is amazing how this tool can enrich your life.

For your first few months with the Tarot deck, follow these suggestions until you reach a point of comfort or boredom. If you're comfortable with many of the cards, try some different Tarot layouts to expand your repertoire. If you're bored, the same suggestion applies. Either way, your mind is letting you know you're ready for more challenges. To deny yourself that will make your path of learning Tarot loose a lot of its sparkle.

Keep playing with the Tarot deck to improve familiarity with Tarot meanings. Draw one Tarot card every morning as a guide for your day. Ask the deck what you need to learn about and devote several days to studying the card you pull. Learning Tarot comes from having a personal relationship with your Tarot deck as well as building trust with the intuitive part of yourself. Welcome to the path of mastering Tarot! This single step is the start of an incredible journey.

Legacy Of The Divine Tarot Ipad App

I am a tall fan of Ciro Marchetti and I put up with all three of his Tarot decks and was fabulous pleased equally I found the Donation of the See the future iPad app. Ciro's colorful digital designs really lend themselves to the iPads high inflexibility give and the authorization to settle videos and suitably out of the app. Give are a few equipment that you can do in this app. You can scrutinize the cards and learn luxury about them open the interactive menu. You can control tarot readings or read away from readings in your Tarot Go through. In the Tarot reading promote the cards alter electronically and next you put up with a massive reading surface to lay out as lots cards as your garner wishes for the reading. Give are no spreads that you put up with to hunt (which may dispatch new comers to the Tarot a sad but hey, it's that what Google is for?) which I actually nearby as you can design them as you nearby. You can also quota hypothetical tarot spreads or exhibition quota ones that you challenge to ape progressive. Various cool blot is that if you challenge to quota the reading in your Tarot Go through you can email the reading to yourself (or others, which makes me disconcert about some poor thing who is departure to get scammed paying a reading nearby this somewhere, on Ebay seemingly). The Tarot Go through surface is a sad grumpy banish it seems to quota each reading as a new one, even if you are departure into an on hand one to edit it. Give is not a cooperation toggle that I am wary of which can make it a sad indestructible to go across. To the same degree you do start working open your reading or equally you are exploring the cards instinctively this is equally the app really shines. Give is a movie (not separate the ones on Ciro's website) which draws your be bothered to routine aspects of each card and gives a intelligent closure of key word information at the end about the card. Along with equally you deck the card luxury information become dazed about your card. It is the app that keeps on giving! For me void is departure to come back the act of shuffling the cards, clarification the candles and involving with my guides for readings. I nearby laying the actual cards out, the fragrance of the cards equally I pick them from their unite boxes and silks. Give is so far afield luxury to Tarot readings and Tarot than exhibition the art on the cards. So far afield is ritual and interrelated to the motivation so for me, digital Tarot formats are never departure to come back my decks. Although this is an incredible app, seemingly the best I put up with seen in regards to Tarot deck apps. I am verifiable prices select depending on what nation-state you are in it was 9.49 AUD in the app store. Reasonably good invoice for an app that has had actual impression go into it, separate lots others on the market.

New Tarot Deck Tarot By Alexander Daniloff

I have often said that the most successful Tarot decks come from artists that understand the complexities of the Tarot. The Tarot deck that artist Alexander Daniloff has created is one of the brilliant exceptions to the rule. I fell in love with this Tarot deck when I saw a peek on another blog - Samhain Moon and I visited Alexanders site straight away. It is a limited edition deck of 450 and I was lucky enough to get a deck.

I have not been so enamoured with a Tarot deck in a very, very long time. I instantly fell in love with this deck. The aesthetic is not usually something I would be drawn to but it is so beautiful and rich there was no way I couldn't love it.

Alexander confesses that he is not a Tarot aficionado but you would never know it considering the elements used in the deck.

The Major Arcana are all titled in Italian but it makes little difference if you don't know Italian. Roman numerals are universal after all. Along with the Minor Arcana the Major Arcana are bordered. Where as the Aces and the Court Cards are without borders.

I found it a little difficult at first to quickly differentiate the Court Cards as there is no writing on the cards at all. I figured it out mostly due to the fact that Alexander has kept a theme across each of the Court Cards.

The Pages all have flags and are presented as flag bearers (perfect really for their post in the deck), the Knights all have Armour and Shields, The Queens all have crowns and also the playing card suit illustrated in the card and the Kings all have castles in the backgrounds.

Most all of the figures in this Tarot deck are serious faced people there are not a lot of smiles to be found, I guess that is what it was like in Medieval times. With that in mind the deck is a rather serious deck but I think it just ads to the charm of the deck.

The back of the cards show a mirror image in black, white, red and cream which is intricate and stunning.

The card stock is nice and thick and the cards are longer than most playing cards (14cm x 7.3cm). It can make them a little hard to shuffle and with the card stock not being laminated the edges will fray faster than normal but that is going to happen if you use your Tarot cards for readings anyway.

The deck comes in a box with no booklet or instructions, a signed card with the edition numbering on there by the artist and extra cards depending on where you like your Strength and Justice cards in the Major Arcana order. (which is very thoughtful of the artist I think)

Alexander has a beautiful site with many more of his Tarot images and decks for sale here - http://www.daniloff-art.it/

If you are a collector of lover of Tarot I would snap one up before they are all out of print.
