That is all. don't go flask, the profit margin is miserable atm, at least on my server, i switched back to transmute, it makes way more gold Quote:

But how are you making gold with it? Wait, maybe I am wrong, if I change from transute, will I still be able to make epic jems?
Oh semiiramiis, lol, wow well put. Quote:

Unless it's changed, you'll be able to make the same items, you'll just get no procs...
It's been awhile since I played, so someone may dispute this.
On my server, the ability to proc multiple potions/flasks in one sitting, rather than just one chance to proc in a given cooldown period more than made the difference. I sat and watched my husband proc 10+ times in less than ten minutes making flasks, and more than that making potions. problem i've had with making flasks, at least on my server, even with the procs, is the profit margin is minimal, so like for every 100 flasks i'd make, i'd get maybe 100g in profit, which when theres usually some slow days in the week, means you'd only make maybe 3-400g a week, which is peanuts Quote:

Well, I'm a survivor of the transmutation bug, which may have left a bad taste in my mouth, however even after Blizzard promised it was fixed, my procs on gem xmutes were so rare as to be a joke. It seemed from my end that I'd be better off with my one xmute a day, and getting something, ANYthing, at all to proc...flasks...pots...please. The days of xmute masters owning with Primal Mights, proccing 3,4, yes even 5... not actually xmuting while in group with people, or just trading mats for mights outright because you didn't want your customer to realize you were an xmute master seem to be long gone with the Northrend stuff. Ok maybe when I was Xmuting eternal fires etc.... I might have learned an new xmute, but ever since I been making my one epic gem a day, I have never got one. In fact it's so bad I just tought it did not happen. You telling me this is new to me lol. Quote:

you were lucky then. on my server there was NO profit at all in flasks. the mats selled more than the end product. in the end I just didn't bother, I farmed herbs to sell and just boughts the flasks off the AH whenever I needed them. flask of the frost wrym only cost 20g, as you said, peanuts.
transmutions is the only way to make money now. people always need the eternals for jewlcrafting and blacksmithing and its good business. yeah mid, thats the way it works on my server, mats cost more than the flasks do, only the procs would make you any money so if you didn't proc, you'd be selling at a loss
